Mercia Report 15-11-09

Round 7 of the SRAM Notts & Derby Cyclo Cross League was held at Bingham Leisure Centre near Nottingham & organised by Velo Club Nottingham.

In the under 12’s Joshua finished 2nd, his best placing yet this season with his younger brother Bailey not far behind in 5th place. In 1st place again by a comfortable margin, was William Gascoyne (Heanor Clarion).

Seven year old Elliot rode well to finish in 5th place in the under 10’s. Jon Webster from Matlock CC was again the winner, beating club mate Harry Morley by 5 seconds.

In the seniors, veterans, ladies & juniors race there were 108 finishers. Justin Waters improved on previous cyclo races to finish 78th. Adrian Waters despite falling off several times on a very slippery course finished in 102nd place. Ben Eedy (Empella Cyclo Cross Team) was the winner, his first outright winner of the season in the Notts & Derby Cyclo Cross League.
