Mercia Report 31-08-08

The John Hinksman Memorial Road Race promoted by Ashfield Road Club at Darley Moor near Ashbourne saw Noel Adams finish in 10th place in the 55 km race for 3rd & 4th category riders. Simon Parker finished in 12th. The race was won by Martin Harney a member of the Manchester Wheelers Cycling Club.

The results of the penultimate evening time trial were as follows: Sean Sleigh (Plan B) 12 04, Richard Knott 12 35, Daniel Partington 12 47 (Plan B), Keith Staley 12 55, Alec Taylor 13 45, Mark Ward 14 17, Mark Eccleston 14 30, Andrew Wendle 14 48, Colin Johnson 15 11, John Howles 15 52, Phil Knott 16 12, Ivor James 16 38, Peter Rose 16 51 & Dave Peters 18 00 completing one lap.
